Choosing a Thong that Fits Your Body

If you're thinking of buying your first pair of thong panties, or if you have a large collection of thong underwear, there are a few simple rules for choosing a thong that can give you a perfect fit for your body type.

The first step is to choose a fabric for your panties that is natural feeling, soft, and that will let air circulate between the fabric and your skin.

Leather thongs, for example, are not the best panties to wear for many hours at a time since leather doesn't allow your skin to breathe like other fabrics will. Leather thongs are usually just for show, or for wearing for an hour or two. While they certainly look good, and they're somewhat erotic feeling on the body, you might want to start with a thong that is more suited for everyday wear.

Microfiber, nylon, or natural cotton are good fabric choices since they don't yield themselves to chafing your skin, which could result in an irritation.

Since thong panties are made in all styles, designs, and sizes, you should choose a style that fits your body perfectly, and that's made of a fabric that is comfortable next to yur skin.

When choosing a thong that fits your body, make sure that the crotch area's fabric covers you adequately and comfortably. Since thongs use a minimal amount of fabric, make sure the the material lays flat against your skin, and doesn't bunch up. If the fabric for the thong's crotch area is lined with cotton, check to see that the length of the fabric fits your body's size and shape.

You want panties that look and feel comfortable on you. Looking at styles and colors on mannekins or on a model isn't the same as trying on the panties and determining that they feel good and fit your body type.

It's also a very good idea to launder your panties before wearing them for the first time. This helps to remove the synthetic finish or sizing that was added to the fabric when it was designed. Panties always feel softer and fit better after they've been washed.

Caution is needed if you wear your new panties before washing them, since any stains will be more difficult to remove later.

When you try on a new thong, if the fabric is too narrow, the panty could twist to one side or the other, which would make the fit rather uncomfortable. You'd most likely end up adjusting your panties continuously throughout the day.

The same is true if you choose a stretchable lace thong. Make sure it fits your body comfortably. Adjusting and readjusting your undergarments several times a day will make you quickly not want to wear them again.

When the fabric of your thong is soft and breathable, and when the panty fits comfortably, then you'll feel good wearing your thong for eight hours or more.

So choose your thong's fabric wisely, and make sure that the size you've chosen is one that suits your body type. How will you know when you've found the perfect thong panty that fits? The answer is simple: when your thong fits you so comfortably that you don't know you're wearing it.
